Not for love or money... well, for a lot of money...

Last weekend I SCOURED the Sacramento newspaper sports section for just one mention of the rugby world cup.

Nothing. Nada. Zip. Nihil.

This is indicative of exactly how much RWC fervour there is here :-)

South Africa is playing in the Semi-Finals this Sunday (what a surprising line-up the semis are with Australia and NZ being eliminated in the quarter finals!)... and not for love or money can I find somewhere for us to watch the match on Sunday. Not at any local pubs (the line up is dominated by football). Not even on cable!! So even if we had a TV, and had cable and paid extra for the 3 top sports channels, we wouldn't be able to see it...

Our options: to watch it on line at home by ourselves (wearing green and gold, but without biltong) for a cool $25 online... or wait a couple of days to watch the "delayed" match at the local pub at 10am in the morning. Not quite the world cup spirit, is it? Nonetheless: Go boks!!!
