Podiatric utility: on the nocturnal regulation of body temperatures
(An abstract thought, so it got an abstract title)It strikes me that feet are not only useful for standing, balancing and walking... They have another indispensible use: the regulation of body temperatures. How is it, that just by sticking one toe, or a whole foot, out from under the covers at night, that you can almost instantly fix a feeling of being too hot, or too cold, and land up "just right"?
