Recently I "interviewed" Teg. I asked her about her favorite food (crackers!), favorite game (zingo), favorite thing to do (play with Charis). I also asked her her favorite bible verse.
Teg (without hesitation): Now shall not coven.
Me: Do you mean "thou shall not covet"?
Teg: No. That's not how it goes. It goes: now shall not coven.
Me: Covet. With a t. It means to want something someone else has.
Teg: Coven. That's what I said. That's what it sounds like on the raindrop cd (audio bible stories).
I suppose "thou shall not coven" is also covered in the prohibitions on witchcraft, but who would have thought it would make it into the top ten no-no's? And WHY is it her favourite?
