November 17th
November 17th was a VERY GOOD DAY...
... even though the City of Davis removed a beautiful big tree whose shade we had loved from the front of our garden, and did so without warning us or even knocking on the door to tell us that they would be felling a 2-story high tree in our driveway so that access to and from our house would be blocked and I would have to park in the street....
... and even though the City of Davis then issued me with a parking ticket for then parking in the street...
... it was a still a GREAT DAY, because....
... I finished teaching Ecclesiastes (more on this later), but more importantly because...
... after 5 years of work, Jeremy submitted his final draft of his dissertation to his review committee! The writing is done! Hopefully they will like it and find it interesting, and they will sign off on it quickly and with joy :-) I am SO PROUD of him!! We RELISHED being able to go for a walk in the afternoon, just our little family, in the sunshine and fresh air, and breathe, laugh, talk and enjoy God's goodness and be together with the great burden feeling lifted. Oh happy day!!!!
