Update

How can it possibly be October already?

But here we are. The temperature is dropping, and so are the leaves. Teg has grown into a new size of clothing which has required a massive amount of organizing and shopping. Gene is growing too which is requiring a massive amount of reorganizing MY clothing (at 27 weeks I now finally really look pregnant... 3rd trimester here we come!) I've been experimenting with making bread, the smell of which makes me feel so happy and homey every time that it's worth it even if the bread doesn't turn out well. I've been reading and reading in preparation for teaching Ecclesiastes this Fall at the ladies bible study. I'm taking care of another little toddler named Katie (15 months old) one day a week. And in the great vacuum left by the Pearsons, am finding other wonderful women with little kiddos to spending time with during the week.

And I'm trying to keep Jeremy well-fed, well-rested, and well-encouraged as he is writing the LAST CHAPTER of his thesis. My word, this PhD is an albatross we will be glad to be rid of. Pray for him... he's so close to finished, and he is TIRED!

So that's what's keeping me busy, in case you were wondering. Future posts on our trip to our great adventure to the lush, green state of New Jersey are forthcoming!

I like how you describe the departure of dear friends: like a vacuum. Sad, but true. I am happy both of our vacuums have led us to each other! :-)
