VBC butterflies

I don't know what I was thinking... but I agreed to help teach one of the classes at this years' Vacation Bible Camp at church. It's only 20 minutes a day, with between 20 and 30 3rd graders... but I am shaking like a leaf. Seriously, right now I would rather take making an impromptu speech in front of 500 adults rather than face these 20 3rd graders where the material is all scripted for me. I'm sure that sounds as silly to read as it feels silly to write - but for some reason, the fear of the unknown here is big. I have NO IDEA what 8 year olds are like anymore... but I guess I'm about to find out :-)

I'm sure it will be crazy, fun, chaotic, fun, noisy, fun... but I hope it's spiritually significant too. At the end of the week with all the costumes and the noise and the decor, I hope that these kiddos go home knowing Jesus better. Amidst the hoopla and the nerves, if I can help steer them just a bit in that direction - I'll be happy.

But oh boy. I'm still nervous....
