Tread lightly

Q: What do cello players and hardened criminals have in common?

A: No fingerprints!

I discovered this while applying for my new US visa, where fingerprinting is mandatory. During the middle of an otherwise amiable conversation while I was pressing my digits onto the little red light scanning panel, my interviewer suddenly asked, "What are your hobbies?"
Me: Watching movies, reading.... and I'm learning to play the cello.
Him: Ah - that would explain it!
Me: Explain what?
Him: Why you have almost no fingerprints left on your left hand.
Me: Awesome! That proves that I really have been practicing!

So on a scale of 1-10 (where 1 is deep and defined, and 10 is 'bald'), how does the tread on your fingers rate? My left hand is a 10 !

In just a few weeks, I could commit crimes (or leave annoying fingerprints on your car windows), and no-one would know it was me ... he he he he.

No one will know who it was, huh?

Oh, the next time someone commits a crime and leaves no fingerprints, I'll know it's you.

Yes, I'll know..........
