little miss muffet, abridged for Davis

Little Miss Muffet
Sat on a tuffet,
Holding insecticide spray.
There came down a spider
Who sat down beside her
And got blasted with poison that day.

It's bug season in Davis and it's driving me crazy. Not only do we have hundreds of gnats which have decided to establish their kingdom on our bedroom curtain, but the spiders (who eat yummy gnats) are gathering for the feast too.

Given that I found out this week that Davis is, in fact, home to MANY Black Widow Spiders (our neighbors have caught lots of them!).... I am nervous.

And merciless with the bug spray.
