Choral Change

I experienced a taste of the bizarre yesterday. While unlocking my bike to go home from campus, I noticed a young man standing on the quad next to a pile of magazines. He was singing "Donna Nobis Pacem" - in a beautiful tenor voice. I stood for a while and listened, and wondered why he was singing to no-one in particular... it really was fantastic.

I was about to go up to him and ask him, when a woman appeared and began to sing with him in accompanying harmony. It was beautiful. They sang the chorus of "donna nobis pacem"... and just as I was about to ride by on my bike I heard them change the words. In the same plaintive and perfect harmony, they replaced "don-na, no-bis, pa-cem, pa-cem" with "George - Bush, is - insane, because he snorts cocaine"....

I had to concentrate hard not to fall off my bike I was laughing so much. Honestly! The lengths students will go to to make a statement!
