So about that new blog....
The new blog is a week old, and according to yesterday's stats, has had nearly 1200 views. WHAT?!?!? This blows my mind. And intensifies my feeling that I want to create some space between our private world and the public writing sphere.
So after yesterday's solicitation of opinions (thanks Jansen!) and chatting it over with my DH, this is what I've come to. I ain't gonna double post. What I am going to do is ask my clever tech-savvy hubby to set up a widget thing on the right hand side of this page which will display the most recent posts on my public blog. So if there's a new post, you will be able to see its title and when it was posted, and click on over there if you like.
And if you are a subscriber to this blog (hello, I love ya) and you get an email of new posts, then you have the option of going over to bronlea.wordpress.com, and signing up to follow there. (Note to the parents: There's a little "follow" button on the right hand side of the page to click - and after that new posts will be delivered straight into your inbox.)
But I won't double post. And I won't spam you. And if you sign up to follow either blog (or both), then you won't have to continually check back in to see if there's something new... anything new will wing its way straight to you.

Hi. I have just discovered, from a photo, that you are friends (on here at least) with my daughter's sister in law in Cape Town (if that makes sense)..Nicole Masureik. small world eh? and I can't remember how I started reading your blog, but have, since Teg was a baby.

Yes, Nicole and I became friends at UCT nearly 20 years ago! I was at her and Graeme's wedding and we have touched base from time to time over the years. We stayed with them briefly in London many years ago and they showed us such great kindness :-) mostly we've been blog friends though: nix was the first person ever to post a link to my blog ... So maybe that was how you first found this blog? Anyway, it is a real surprise (and a wonderful one!) to hear from a 5-year long reader. You must know me pretty well by now!! :-) I hope one day our paths cross and I an get to meet you too.
