A little list of happy.

Today I am thankful for

a delicious dinner of lamb shank and ciabatta,
a perfectly warm yet not too hot day,
chalk to draw cities and elephants and hopscotch courts on the cement,
skype to see my newborn nephew and elated sister face to face,
close, dear friends ranging in age from their early twenties to their late seventies,
a summer bible study to read through,
a daughter who is slowly but surely conquering her fear of the water,
that same daughter's first jump off a diving board yesterday,
a chilled glass of wine,
shade from our leafy catalpa tree,
hours of giggles from our kids throughout today,
a body strong enough to play, work, nurse my baby,
an ipad to play scramble with friends,
a place to call home here and now,
a place to call Home for all eternity.
