Impromptu parenting
Sometimes my husband is a genius at impromptu parenting.
Like when Teg continued to beg for band-aids and he said: scabs are God's band-aids. Genius!
Like when they were playing a game and Teg began to brag about winning and he said: everyone wins if we are having fun. Genius!
But this morning as I stood applying mascara and my daughter said: daddy says make up is for girls who are ugly... The word 'genius' did not come to mind :)

See, I KNEW I was ugly without my mascara. He IS genius. ;-)
The makeup comment is pure genius; you just haven't fully understood his statement yet.
