Things I like about not being pregnant
It's day 9. Callum sleeps. Callum eats. Tegwyn wants to look at him, kiss him, play with him... and rotates between vying for for Daddy, Mommy and Granny's attention. It's a happy, noisy household, with few minutes left for much else but parenting - but I'll use one of those minutes to share a few things I like about not being pregnant:
I can see my toes.
I can take a shower, put on shoes, bend down to pick things up - all without any pain. PSD be GONE!
I have clothes to wear that are not grey or black. The end of my maternity wardrobe was getting quite funereal.
I can sleep. In any position I want. Until an OUTSIDE influence wakens me.
When nature calls, I can answer. In full sentences.
But best of all: I can see my boy. Every now and then, I look down at Teg and Callum together, catch my breath (my eyes can hardly contain the fullness of them both), and think "oh Wow. These are MY CHILDREN!" A few pictures to try to show and tell:
The loving wake-up kisses of a big sister. My Mom is teaching Teg to kiss him on the forehead, instead of her usual target smooching spot: his eye.

There's nothing as sweet as company on the backseat. Can you hear the Beatles singing: "I wanna hold your hand" ??
