In the middle of an over-tired fussing spell yesterday, Tegwyn suddenly became animated and started to point at my sweater. "Wuh!" she said. "Wuh! Wuh!"

"What?" I asked her. "I don't understand what you are saying. Are you saying flower? There are no flowers on my shirt." (Without front teeth she cannot say "f", but she calls flowers "ow-wuhs", or sometimes just "wuhs")

"WUH!" she shouted, pointing all the more. "WUH!"

"Show me," I said, moving closer.

"WUUH!" she cried triumphantly, jabbing my chest. I looked down to see what she was pointing at. And blow me down, with absolute precision, she pointed out the three "l"s in "College life". "Wuh. Wuh. Wuh." she said.

"One?" I said. "Are you saying one?" She beamed at me. "Wuh!" she grinned.

Quite right, my clever girl. I get it now. Wow. I had no idea she knew what that was. It makes me wonder what else she sees that I have no idea about :-)
