Thanksgiving snapshots

What a fun week it has been: not much in the way of news to report, but the week has been filled with fun excursions in the paling but persistent sunshine.

We are thoroughly enjoying our new bike trailer, particularly now that Tegwyn no longer gets a crick in her neck having to balance a giant helmet on her head... This is due to some ingenious engineering on my part (even if I say so myself: oh the resourcefulness of moms!): an old non-slip bath foam has been recommissioned into a seat pad for Teg which allows her to now move her head around freely. The sullen child has now become a singing child while biking :-)

We celebrated a low-key thanksgiving last week - with a feast which far outshone the hospital issue turkey and cranberry sauce served last year an hour after Teg's birth! Good times. Among the many things we are thankful for, Ray and Wendy's continued hospitality and inclusion in their inner-circle family life is among them.

And while on the subject of feasts: we went out for sushi yesterday. We took the usual array of Teg foods to keep her occupied (the girl has a berry fetish: blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries... and pomegranate seeds!), but at one point while I wasn't looking a piece of salmon sashimi got swiped from my plate. We had fun watching her play around with it for a while... but couldn't believe our eyes a minute later:

Those are some eclectic tastes for a 1-year old, don't you think?
