Diary of a 4 7/8 year old girl pirate

Yesterday was pirate date at Teg's school. She was hesitant to dress up at first in case there were no other girl pirates, but eventually decided that "Flowerlove the Pirate" could wear flowers in her hair and ballet slippers on her feet, and the day would be more fun for it. I love Teg in kindergarten.

She came home and recounted how she had fallen off the play structure at recess. Usually Teg's preferred role is Drama Queen rather than Pirate, so I expected a tale of histrionics and tentatively asked, "so what did you do?"
T: I rubbed it with my hands.
Me: Did it help?
T: No.
Me: So what did you do then? Did you tell your teacher?
T: No. Mrs Bean says kindergartners are good at solving problems, so I solved my problem and I tried blowing on it.
Me: Did that help?
T: Yes. I told you kindergarteners are good at solving problems.
