First day of school

Last night she couldn't sleep. After two hours of tossing and turning, she curled into her daddy's lap and he told her about how he remembered that he couldn't sleep either on the night before his first day of school. She burrowed into his lap and listened to him talk about how he had laid out his clothes: brown shorts, a brown shirt, brown shoes and brown socks with a white stripe, an orange stripe and another white stripe. Teg wondered why he would choose so much brown.

This morning she woke up beaming. She found the schedule we had written out two days ago and promptly applied herself to checking things off: wake up (check), get dressed (check), pack bag (check), have breakfast (check).

And then we were ready! So much excitement to begin her first day of transitional kindergarten at Patwin Elementary.

Lovely Laeya dropped by to wish Teg well on her first day. We LOVE Laeya.

Family photo!

Our Kindergartner, so excited about her lunch bag that she wouldn't put it down for any of the photos.

We are so excited for Teg. She has been waiting for this day ALL SUMMER.

Over flashed, but precious. Teg proudly poses in front of her new school.

Finding her name among the stars on the door to her class.

Saying hi to her teacher and presenting her with an "i love you" letter. The rewards of being a Kindergarten teacher start early :-)

Hooray for Kindergarten!!!

Oh my! She's grown up so much and (too) quickly!!! Love her smiles in the 3rd photo. Just precious. I'm sure she enjoyed her first day before it even began, and with the "i love you" letter, she is her teacher's pet! :-)
