5:40pm
It's 5:40pm. Dinner time.
T: Mama, can you hold me?
B: Sorry Teg, I need to make dinner.
T: Mama, where is my purple blankie?
B: Um.... I think it's on the futon.
(30 seconds later)
T: Mama, can you help me tie it?
(30 seconds later, and I'm getting irritated because I still need to make dinner)
T: Mama, can you help me find a bowl?
B: What for?
T: For water.
B: Why?
T (readjusting the blanket tied around her chest): Because I need it so I can be first in the kingdom.
The penny drops.
John 13.
I abandoned dinner with tears slipping down my cheeks and let her fill a bucket and wash my feet.
Thank you Lord for a sweet lesson at the hands of my gentle 3 year old.

This is absolutely precious. Meanwhile, my sons threw pillows at me today. They need to hang out with Teg more.
How precious and what a blessing.
