A big week!

What a wonderful, exciting week it has been for Callum, and by extension for us all! This week Callum learned to go down a slide by himself (getting to the top and then turning around to push off on his belly). He also learned how to clap:

He got his first birthday cupcakes for his first birthday party:

He got birthday smooches from his sister:

 She looks pleased with herself. He is wondering when this silly girl will leave him alone so he can look at his new trucks.

He got his first demo on playing with construction toys from his sister.

He ate his first frosting... and liked it!

And, right in the middle of his first birthday party, he took his first independent steps! We were too busy cheering to record any evidence of the first steps, but here are the SECOND EVER independent steps taken by Callum!
