Facebook shines again!
Wonder of modern wonders!
On Friday night, at 8pm, my dear husband and I sat at home feeling flushes of cabin fever. But, at 8pm, it seemed cruel to try and move our sleeping baby out the house, and too late to try and find a sitter.... or so we thought! Here's a minute-by-minute blow of what happened:
8:03 Jeremy suggests we try to find a sitter on facebook. We change our status to "Jeremy-Bronwyn are wondering if anyone is available to watch Teg for an hour"
8:09 One of our student friends writes on our wall that she is available.
8:10 We exchange details of when (now!), and start to get ready. We change our status on facebook to "J-B think that Kate rocks!" to show our appreciation.
8:18 She arrives, and we head off.
8:25 We arrive at our friends' house for a martini party...
Now if that isn't impressive, I don't know what is!!!

That's very cool. We've got to try that sometime. Too bad our list of friends doesn't include lots of single Davisites (or college students). Now, I'm just trying to remember Ian and I's last "date".... hmm...
And Rick wonders at the practicality of these social networking sites (*shakes head*), yay for Facebook!!
