ANGRY baby!
Behold angry baby. After 2 days at home (half of which had been spent screaming on the hour, every hour), we took her for a pediatric check up. We were exhausted, and quite out of ideas as to how to soothe our kid. The doc put her on the scale and declared she had lost too much weight: the milk supply was a little slow in coming in and she was HUNGRY! Doc gave us a bit of formula to tide us over for a few days while we caught up on the food production - and 30mls of formula later angry baby had turned into sleeping cherub - for over 3 hours!
Angry baby still makes an occasional appearance, but now that she is being better fed, she is much happier!

You know, you aren't the first one who has shared that the newborn wasn't getting enough milk from mom. A friend of mine had her girl two summers ago, and she couldn't figure out why her little baby wasn't gaining much weight...As it turned out, her baby had to be put on a formula diet as well to supplement the milk from breastfeeding. She described her baby as a "hungry bear" as the little one taking in all that food! Sucking in all the milk and gasping for a breath at the same time!
Don't worry, My boss had the same problem recently (a week ago) Trying to speak to her on the phone was a challenge, to say the least, but with lots of rest, a little TLC and formula, Eden had turned into a very happy child :)
