Soups and excitement

Well, as of yesterday it is "officially winter", and today was the first day of the "days getting longer" until summer is here. Not that this has changed any of the regular 'winter features' for us - including ice outside in the mornings, a million crows (and consequently, a car which is so completely covered with droppings that we have taken to calling it "the poop-mobile"), and soups. oh - glorious soups. As I write this, it is mid-day and I am already eating my second bowl of split pea and ham soup for the day :-) Mom: thank you for teaching us to make soup!

It's been an exciting week. Some of it is 'unbloggable', some of it is (such as Christmas bonuses, good times with friends, and did I mention soups?) But all in all - we are heading for a quiet, yet very happy Christmas, followed by Urbana! Will write again in the New Year...

I pray that you all would know God's grace and peace this Christmas.
