A true story
I received a thank you card for a gift I had given at a baby shower. The card thanked me for "the really cute gift - which even has kangaroos so that it will always remind me of you."

After all this time, does she really think I am Australian? Or is there something about me that resembles a furry red back, bounding stride or outsize thighs that I'm unaware of?

Hey, there are worst things than being thought of as an Australian . . .

No offense to my down under family and friends intended...
... just amazing to me that so many here can't tell the difference in accents!!
For the record: I love Australians. I love Australians. I love Australians :-)
Hey, Bronwyn! I just discovered your blog. Cool! =)
I am sure that Josh M. isn't offended by your blog entry. After all, he KNOWS how much we all like/love him. =)
BTW, how did it feel to be called a YangGueiZi (foreign devil) in China? I am sure it wasn't pleasant being stared at constantly because you just stood out like a sore thumb! But I have to say the Chinese are definitely less ethnocentric and xenophobic than they were one century ago. Even I wouldn't fit in that society with my skin color and upbringing!
