Ole!

What a fun Friday! Tonight Genna and I dressed up and took ourselves to the theater (on our bicycles of course, because we live in Davis!) We went to Davis' cultural headquarters, the Mondavi Center, to see Jose Porcel and his flamenco dancing troupe. They (and their musicians) were amazing... precise enough to be Swiss, passionate enough to be undeniably latino. Click here for some mini movie clips of the show we saw tonight! What amazed me was not only that the way they move, but particularly the way they don't move. It's all flow, flow, lines and action, and then a dead stop... no flinching, no shudder. Just a silhouette of accurate angles. Breathtaking.
